ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture has been part of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for thousands of years. It involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the skin to restore balance and encourage the body to heal itself. It can also be used to promote overall wellness and prevent disharmony within the body.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Deep tissue massage centers on realigning the deeper layers of connective and muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the tense areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

TRIGGER POINT RELEASE

Trigger point release involves the precise application of acupuncture needles to address muscle tension. By releasing trigger points, it induces muscle relaxation, facilitating improved blood circulation and nutrient delivery. This promotes cellular health, enhancing muscle flexibility and range of motion without causing discomfort.

ELECTRIC STIMULATION

Electroacupuncture uses two needles per meridian point, connected to a machine passing a small electric current. It blocks pain by activating bioactive chemicals, breaks up muscle tension, increases blood flow, and reduces inflammation. Sensations may include tingling or vibration, but pain is minimal, often only a quick prick during needle placement.

CUPPING

Cupping has a therapeutic effect and helps to remove toxins and stagnant blood. It helps to increase blood circulation to the area and is often used in conjunction with acupuncture or massage. Cupping is generally performed with either heated glass cups or plastic suction cups.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Chinese herbal medicines are mainly plant based, but some preparations include minerals or animal products. They can be packaged as raw herbs, granules, tablets, lotions and tinctures, depending on the herb and its intended use. Different herbs have different properties and can balance particular parts of the body.
